Nonprofit Suite · Planned Giving

Launch a planned-giving program —
the marketing, education, and systems.
Your licensed partners handle the rest.

Help your donors leave a legacy while you stay compliant. BOOJEE builds the infrastructure. Your estate attorney, CPA, and licensed planned-giving advisor handle all regulated financial, legal, and tax matters.

Important Regulatory Disclosure

BOOJEE is not a law firm, financial advisory firm, insurance company, securities firm, or licensed planned-giving advisor. BOOJEE does not issue charitable gift annuities, set annuity rates, draft legal trust instruments, or provide tax, legal, financial, or investment advice to donors or nonprofits. Nothing BOOJEE produces constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. Planned giving vehicles involve regulated financial, legal, and tax matters; your organization must retain qualified legal counsel, a CPA, and (for gift-annuity programs) a licensed advisor, and comply with applicable state regulations. Donors must consult their own independent attorney, CPA, and/or financial advisor before making any planned gift.

In scope (BOOJEE) vs.
Out of scope (your licensed partners)

Planned giving involves regulated financial and legal matters. Here is exactly who does what.

BOOJEE handles (in scope) Your licensed partners handle (out of scope for BOOJEE)
Bequest marketing collateral and legacy society branding Charitable gift annuity (CGA) issuance and administration
Donor-facing educational materials (general, non-individualized, with required disclaimers) Setting or quoting annuity payout rates
Planned-giving website copy and landing pages Drafting wills, trusts, or any legal estate instrument
CRM workflows: donor cultivation, stewardship drip sequences, advisor-referral handoffs Tax deduction calculations or tax advice to donors
Gift-acceptance policy templates (for your counsel to review and finalize) Legal or financial advice of any kind to donors or nonprofits
Administrative checklists and intake forms for your team State registration, reserve, and reporting compliance for CGA programs
Licensed-partner coordination: routing regulated donor questions to your attorneys and advisors Actuarial valuation of complex gift vehicles (CRTs, CLTs)
Donor education content calendars and ongoing program content Any regulated function under SEC, state insurance, or legal ethics rules

All BOOJEE donor-facing materials must be reviewed and approved by your organization's legal counsel before deployment. BOOJEE will flag materials requiring counsel review and will not bypass that step.

Built for nonprofits
ready to build legacy revenue

We serve organizations with a donor base and mission that can sustain a multi-decade giving program — and we're honest about who we can't help yet.

Good fit

  • Community foundations, human services nonprofits, faith communities, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and arts organizations
  • Organizations with a donor base that includes individuals aged 55+ (the primary planned-giving demographic)
  • Nonprofits that want to build multi-decade revenue, not just annual-fund revenue
  • Orgs starting their first legacy program with a bequest focus (Starter package)
  • Established nonprofits ($2M+ revenue) ready for a full multi-vehicle program
  • Organizations with existing legal and CPA relationships who need marketing and admin infrastructure built

Not a fit (yet)

  • Organizations without confirmed 501(c)(3) status
  • Nonprofits with no estate attorney, CPA, or licensed planned-giving advisor on file — or unwilling to retain them (use our Licensed-Partner Procurement add-on first)
  • Organizations seeking a vendor to set annuity rates, draft legal instruments, or advise donors — that is never BOOJEE's role
  • Nonprofits that cannot commit legal-counsel time for material review before deployment
  • Anyone expecting BOOJEE to replace the regulated professionals who must administer the program

The full marketing and admin stack
— compliant, reviewed, deployment-ready

Every engagement produces complete, professional assets your team and donors actually use. All regulated steps route to your licensed professionals.

Bequest Marketing Collateral

Donor-facing bequest one-pagers with general educational content, sample bequest language (for donors to share with their own attorney), and required disclaimer language — not legal advice.

Legacy Society Framework

Program naming options, membership tiers, recognition benefits, stewardship calendar, annual report acknowledgment language, and a Legacy Society member welcome-letter template suite.

Planned-Giving Website Copy

Professional page copy covering program overview, giving vehicles, legacy society membership, and inquiry CTAs. All copy includes required disclaimers and routes regulated questions to your licensed team.

CRM Workflows & Stewardship

Donor inquiry intake forms, gift-interest tagging, stewardship drip sequences (up to 6 touchpoints over 18 months), advisor-referral handoff workflows. Program Build only.

Gift-Acceptance Policy Template

A structured policy template your legal counsel reviews and adopts — covering bequests and (in Program Build) the full suite of planned-giving vehicles. Board adoption is required before operating any program.

Licensed-Partner Coordination

Your designated estate attorney, CPA, and planned-giving actuary contacts are documented in your CRM. When a donor expresses interest in a regulated vehicle, your team follows a clear handoff protocol to your licensed professionals.

Four steps from consult
to a live legacy program

Nonprofit Consult

We review your organization's donor profile, existing legal/CPA relationships, and planned-giving readiness. We recommend the right package and flag any professional relationships your org needs to establish first.

Compliance Gate

Before any build begins, we confirm your estate attorney and CPA contacts are on file. For programs including complex gift vehicles, a licensed planned-giving actuary or advisor must also be identified.

Required before build

We Build the Infrastructure

Marketing collateral, website copy, CRM workflows, policy templates, legacy society framework — all produced to professional standards and ready for your counsel review. No regulated content, no donor tax advice, no rate tables.

Counsel Review & Launch

Your legal counsel reviews and approves all donor-facing materials before deployment. This is non-negotiable. BOOJEE does not release materials directly to donors. You launch on your timeline.

Counsel must approve

Infrastructure built for compliance,
not workarounds

Hard Compliance Lines

We never publish annuity rate tables, donor deduction calculations, or individualized advice — for any donor, under any circumstances. These are non-negotiable scope exclusions, not caveats.

Counsel Review Non-Negotiable

No donor-facing material BOOJEE produces deploys without your legal counsel's review and approval. We flag materials that require counsel review and will not bypass that gate.

AI-Assisted, Human-QA'd

Materials are drafted by BOOJEE's AI production fleet under a Fulfillment SOP and reviewed by a human QA before delivery. We're transparent that AI is our production tool — every output is reviewed for accuracy and compliance.

Scope Discipline

BOOJEE's role is marketing, education, technology, and administrative support. We route every regulated question — annuity rates, tax implications, legal instruments — to your licensed professionals. We do not blur that line.

Documented Compliance Trail

Every engagement produces a compliance review checklist confirming no deliverable contains individualized donor advice, regulated financial content, or rate tables. You retain this for your records.

No Donor Data, No Gift Agreements

BOOJEE retains no donor data, processes no donor payments, and is not a party to any gift agreement between a donor and your organization. Your data stays yours.

Common questions

Does BOOJEE issue charitable gift annuities or set annuity rates?

No — and this is a hard scope boundary, not a caveat. BOOJEE is a marketing, education, and administrative services company. We do not issue charitable gift annuities, set or quote annuity rates, draft legal trust instruments, or provide tax, legal, or financial advice to donors or nonprofits. All regulated financial, legal, and actuarial functions are handled exclusively by your organization's licensed estate attorney, CPA, and licensed planned-giving actuary or advisor. Any vendor that offers to set annuity rates or provide donor tax advice without a license is exposing your organization to legal and regulatory risk.

What exactly does BOOJEE build for a planned-giving program?

BOOJEE builds the marketing, education, stewardship, and administrative infrastructure: bequest marketing collateral, legacy society branding, donor-facing educational materials (general and non-individualized, always reviewed by your counsel before deployment), website copy, CRM workflows for cultivation and stewardship, gift-acceptance policy templates (for your counsel to finalize and your board to adopt), operational checklists for your staff, and licensed-partner coordination workflows. All regulated execution — annuity issuance, rate-setting, legal instrument drafting, donor tax and legal advice — is handled by your licensed professionals.

What licensed professionals does my nonprofit need to retain?

At minimum, your nonprofit needs qualified legal counsel (an estate attorney) and a CPA to operate any planned-giving program. If you plan to issue charitable gift annuities (CGAs), you also need a licensed planned-giving actuary or advisor, and your organization must comply with state registration, reserve, and reporting requirements that vary significantly by state. If you do not yet have these relationships, our Licensed-Partner Procurement add-on ($750) can help you identify and vet qualified candidates in your region.

Who is the Bequest Program Starter designed for?

The Bequest Program Starter ($2,500 one-time) is designed for nonprofits launching their first legacy program, organizations with under $2M annual revenue, and any nonprofit that wants to begin with a simple bequest-focused program before expanding to complex vehicles. Bequest gifts — provisions in a donor's will or trust — are the most common planned-giving vehicle and generally do not require state registration or annuity issuance (though your counsel must confirm applicability in your specific state and circumstances).

What does the Program Build include that the Starter does not?

The Program Build ($5,000 + $1,000/mo, 6-month minimum) adds: expanded website copy covering multiple giving vehicles, a four-piece donor education content suite covering bequest, CGA overview, CRT overview, and life insurance gifts (all general/educational, all with required disclaimers, all for counsel review before deployment), a full CRM workflow build with stewardship drip sequences and advisor-referral handoffs, a complete gift-acceptance policy template for all vehicle types, a legacy society full launch kit, and ongoing monthly content, stewardship touchpoints, and compliance spot-checks.

Does all donor-facing content need to be reviewed by our counsel before going live?

Yes — this is a non-negotiable requirement, not a recommendation. All donor-facing educational materials BOOJEE produces must be reviewed and approved by your organization's legal counsel before deployment. BOOJEE flags every material that requires counsel review and will not bypass that step. The Compliance Copy Review add-on ($500/cycle) provides an additional editorial compliance gate before materials go to your counsel, confirming no regulated content has slipped through.
